Product Overview

Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets NC NeuroCare Canine Formula is the first diet option for the nutritional management of epilepsy in dogs as adjunctive veterinary therapy. It contains medium chain triglyceride oil, an ingredient proven to reduce seizure activity in epileptic dogs on medication. It also aids in the nutritional management of dogs with Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome. *This product requires Veterinarian Authorization. Please fax it to 1-877-500-9950 or e-mail it to rx@allivet.com.
Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets NC NeuroCare Canine Formula is the first and only diet to nutritionally manage dogs with epilepsy as an adjunct to veterinary therapy. It is also enhanced with a unique blend of nutrients and medium chain triglyceride oil to help nutritionally manage dogs with Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome.
For use in dogs.
Features of Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets NC NeuroCare Canine Formula:
  • High protein content helps in the maintenance of lean muscle mass
  • Antioxidant Vitamin C and Vitamin E support immune system health
  • DHA and EPA Omega-3 Fatty Acids are helpful in supporting brain health
  • Enhances with a unique nutrient blend and medium-chain triglyceride oil, which helps in the nutritional management of dogs with Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome (CCD)
  • First and only diet recommended for the nutritional management of epileptic dogs as a complement to other veterinary therapies
Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets NC NeuroCare Canine Formula employs a method extensively used in epileptic children - adding ketones for a source of energy to the brain. Dogs easily metabolize MCTs that produce ketones. Researchers and scientists have theorized that MCTs block certain brain receptors, offering a direct anti-seizure response. This formula also offers B vitamins, antioxidants, DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid). These ingredients have been proven through research to improve the condition of dogs suffering from CDS (cognitive dysfunction syndrome).
