UR Urinary canine formula is a therapeutic diet formulated to help nutritionally manage dogs at risk for the formation of urinary stones. Indications for use of UR includes dissolution of sterile struvite stones, and reducing the risk of calcium oxalate or sterile struvite stone recurrence.
For use in dogs.
Features of Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets UR Urinary Ox/St Adult Dog Food:
  • Prevents stone recurrence
  • Helps to dissolve struvite stones
  • Formulated with low levels of carbohydrates and high levels of protein
Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets UR Urinary Ox/St Adult Dog Food promotes an unfavorable environment for development of sterile struvite uroliths (struvite stones) and calcium oxalate uroliths (calcium oxalate stones). Been using for about 2 years after Ruby (Shiranian, Shih Tzu/Pomeranian) had bladder stones. No issues or $800 vet bills since. Mix half and half with the dry UR food. Price has stayed consistent for the 2 years we have been buying this. And Ruby still stomps her feet in anticipation of meal time.

My dog has bladder stones. At first my dog love this food but now there seems to be something different about it and he bolts out of the room when he sees me getting it for him. There is a strong smokey scent that I never noticed before. It’s awful. Some dogs don’t like the smell of smoke or mesquite. This is probably the reason he won’t eat it any more.

Very good

My dog ate this with no problem. I would of preferred it to be chopped in sauce as it's easier to mix with her dry food. I also would of preferred smaller cabs as this is often 3-4 meals for her and I don't like the idea of keeping an open can of dog food in my fridge. It dries out :-(
