Product Overview
Quellin Soft Chewable Tablets are used for the treatment of inflammation and pain from hip dysplasia, joint disease and arthritis. It can also be used for fever reduction.
Quellin is a non steroidal soft chew for the relief of pain and inflammation in dogs suffering from osteoarthritis or arthritis. Quellin is an easy to administer soft chewable tablet that also helps control postoperative pain associated with soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries in dogs.
Quellin Soft Chewable Tablets are intended for use in dogs only.
Quellin Soft Chewable Tablets are:
- Made with meat flavor
- Easy to administer and easily chewed by dogs
- A scored tablet for easy dosage and uniform distribution of active ingredients
- A soft chew made to the standards of Bayer quality
A non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory, non-narcotic, agent, Carprofen has antipyretic and analgesic activity identically potent to indomethacin in animal models.
NSAIDs most common side effects are to the stomach like bleeding ulcers and kidney or liver issues.

- Increased or decreased appetite
- Tarry, black, bloody stool
- Diarrhea
- Seizure, aggression, increased or decreased activity level
- Incoordination
- Jaundice
- Drinking habit changes (increase or decrease in amount consumed, frequency)
- Urination habit changes (smell, color, frequency)
- Skin changes (scabs, scratching, redness)
Carprofen
Contact your closest emergency pet hospital.
Do not administer Quellin with steroids (such as prednisone, cortisone, triamcinolone, or dexamethasone) or an NSAID (such as etodolac, tepoxalin, deracoxib, firocoxib, meloxicam, or aspirin). Quellin will not cure Osteoarthritis, but it will improve mobility and decrease inflammation and pain in dogs.
Quellin is sold in strengths of 25 mg, 75 mg, 100 mg and the amounts are sold as follows:
1 bottle as a 30 count
2 bottles of 30 for 60 count
1 bottle as a 120 count

Quelin is not a cure for Osteoarthritis, but will improve mobility, relieve inflammation, and relieve pain for dogs.
Dosage & Administration: Always use as directed by your veterinarian. Carefully consider the potential benefits and risks of carprofen and other treatment options before deciding to use carprofen. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration consistent with individual response. The recommended dosage for oral administration to dogs is 2mg/lb of body weight daily. The total dose may be administered as 2mg/lb of body weight once daily or divided and administered as 1mg/lb twice daily. For the control of postoperative pain, administer approximately 2 hours before procedure. Quellin soft chewable tablets are scored and dosage should be calculated in half-tablet increments. Soft chewable tablets can be halved by holding the tablet on each side of the score line and pressing up in the middle to break the tablet into pieces. Care should be taken to ensure that the dog consumes the complete dose.

I have a 68lb female boxer/staffordshire mix who is 14.5 years old. She started showing signs of arthritis and our vet recommended this product.
