Product Overview
With Solitude IGR, you and your horse can enjoy a more peaceful stable. Solitude IGR is a feed-through fly preventative that helps keep flies, which can transmit diseases, away from your horses. Solitude IGR passes through the manure of treated horses to prevent flies from developing into adults by inhibiting the development of the exoskeleton in fly larvae.

In two studies, Solitude IGR was 95 -100% effective against house and stable flies. Significant results may be observed within two weeks. Full benefits are realized between four to six weeks from initial administration.
SOLITUDE IGR is fed daily to the horse and is excreted in the manure. House and stable flies lay their eggs in the manure, and the eggs hatch into the larval (maggot) stage. As the maturing larvae feed on the treated manure, they become unable to develop into adult flies because cyromazine, the active ingredient in SOLITUDE IGR, inhibits formation of chitin. Chitin is the base of the fly’s exoskeleton. The immature flies die.

In more temperate climates, house and stable flies may breed year-round with peak populations occurring during humid months. Refer to the map to help determine the most effective time to use SOLITUDE IGR where you live.
To maximize the effectiveness of SOLITUDE IGR, horses must be fed individually. Made from alfalfa, SOLITUDE IGR pellets are top-dressed onto grain or mixed with the horse’s total ration to provide 300 mg of cyromazine (1 scoop) per horse per day.
DAILY DOSAGE
One scoop (300 mg of cyromazine) of SOLITUDE IGR per day per horse, no matter the weight or size of horse.
