Sotalol is a beta blocking medication that is used to treat heart arrhythmia.
Sotalol is typically used in the treatment of dysrhythmia, improper beating of the heart. Rapid heart rate can cause arrhythmia, which causes the heart to pump inefficiently. If the heart isn't properly pumping blood, oxygenated blood cannot reach certain areas of the body.
Potential side effects include:
- Vomiting
- Nausea
- Dizziness
- Fatigue
- Shortness of breath
