Thyro-Tabs® Canine are beneficial when a dog is suffering from lower-than-normal thyroid production. When the thyroid hormone is balanced, it results in normal physical and mental health.
What does VetOne Thyro-Tabs Canine, 120 ct do?
This product contains a synthetic form of tetraiodothyronine sodium salt, often referred to as T4. This synthetic replica is identical to that produced by a dog's thyroid gland, making it the ideal solution for replacement therapy in dogs with hypothyroidism.

What to know before using VetOne Thyro-Tabs Canine, 120 ct
  • For dogs with hypothyroidism and cardiac disease, close monitoring should be ensured while a proper dose is being established. Your veterinarian may find it necessary to adjust the dog's levothyroxine sodium or cardiac medication dosage, based upon the individual clinical response of the dog.
  • Wash hands thoroughly after use.
  • If accidentally ingested, seek treatment at once. Be sure to have the product label handy for physician reference.
  • Keep away from children.
  • Not proven safe for use in lactating, pregnant, or breeding dogs.
  • Following excess thyroid hormone exposure in utero, the offspring of rodents and humans have shown defects in the morphological thyroid gland and hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid axis dysfunction.
  • Do not administer to dogs with uncontrolled adrenal insufficiency or thyrotoxicosis.

Overview
  • Administer as directed by your veterinarian.
  • Typically, the recommended initial dosage is 0.1 mg for every 10 pounds of body weight administered once daily, or divided to administer a half dose twice daily.
  • Your veterinarian will monitor your pet's T4 concentration (total thyroxine) and adjust his or her daily dosage accordingly to obtain a proper maintenance dosage.
  • Thyro-Tabs® may be administered with food or without.
