Product Overview
Zygolide is for the control of clinical signs associated with Pituitary Pars Intermedia Dysfunction (PPID). It is for use in horses only at a dose of 2 mcg/kg once daily.
Horses
PPID is an age-related hormonal disorder, caused by changes in the pituitary gland causing unwanted side effects like coat changes, muscle loss, abnormal sweating and laminitis.
Pergolide functions by blocking dompamine receptors located in the hypothalmus to decrease exessive hormone production.
