This product calms down my "former" feral cat who is aggressive and marks int he house. It does not stop behavior entirely, but it does quell his aggression. I buy the 450mg and spread it on the food for all five cats.

My vet's crew introduced me to Zylkene a couple of years ago. I give it to my dog who has separation anxiety when it's too warm to take him with us; I've given it to my older cat who had trouble adjusting with a new kitty in the house. It works pretty well for one time uses, but does definitely improve over a course of a few days or even weeks. Zylkene mellows them both out. I like that it's a natural product and I don't have to worry about what it is doing to their little bodies. I've been able to mellow out a stray injured cat until I could get in to see the vet. As long as I have pets, I will have some Zylkene on hand.

I have a crazy maniac cat. He is a one person cat and Zylkene has worked and performed so much better then the prescribe medication I was giving him.

Adopted a young Duck Tolling Retriever who had been dumped in a shelter and spent 90 days waiting for someone to notice her. She had obviously had a bad experience with the past owener who had dumped her at the shelter as a 'crazy dog'. My vet recommended this product and she has calmed down and is fitting in just fine. She is calm, loving and fitting in just fine. I hope anyone who has a dog with anxiety or is planning on a dopting a dog who has been in the shelter system will give this a try. I would not recommend this product nor would I pay the price if it were not worth every penny. It is great.

Our aging dog as become fearful of thunder, we have found using Zylkene, takes the edge off, calms him to a state that allows us to sit and reassure him through the event. He has no drugged after effects, which makes us comfortable in our choice to give him Zylkene. I make sure to keep these well stocked in our home.

I have had one of my rescue dogs for 5 years and she was badly abused before I got her. Her fear of everything is definitely better than it used to be, but she was still having accidents when I wasn't home. Even if I had walked her and left for only 30 minutes she would have an accident. I figured it could be separation anxiety and my vet recommended we try this product before trying something stronger. She has been on it for over a month and has only had 2 accidents so I would say it's working. It is very pricy though.

One of my cats has separation anxiety and this has helped her greatly! She no longer cries when my husband leaves the house and her constant grooming has lessened. Vet recommended two capsules once a day, but we have backed it down to 1/2 capsule in her morning food. It is just enough to relax her without making her into a zombie....which the two capsules a day did. She is a much happier and more relaxed kitty now!

Our dog gets so upset when we leave her home, even for a short time, so much so that the next day her tummy is upset and she can't eat. This is a new, gentle calming homeopathic product which my vet recommended. My 2-year old Parsons Russell terrier is more even-keeled everyday without being 'a zombie. And he's still a great athlete. Allivet's prices are, by far, the cheapest for the exact same product.

I have three 6 year old cats. All siblings. One of the females shows her stress by attacking her siblings - and occasionally me. My vet recommended an in-home visit from a vet behaviorist. The vet behaviorist recommended using Zylkene to decrease her anxiety (I was already using Natural Pet Anxiety and Stress in their water and Comfort Zone cat pheromones). The vet said that if the Zylkene didn't work, that I should consider euthanasia. Zylkene has kept my kitty family together. I tried to wean her off of it (all of this gets pretty expensive), but her hiding/aggression behavior returned when the med wore off. I restarted it, and things are back to our new normal.

My 8 yr old pug was diagnosed with OCD. she was put on Prozac. this helped but still showed symptons. My vet then put her on Zylkene and this made a big difference. However the vets price made it almost unaffordable for a retiree. Allivets price makes me able to continue using the product.

I bought Zylkene upon the recommendation of a dog trainer who has been helping me with my Yorkie who has separation anxiety. I was doubtful, but I believe this medication has made a noticeable difference in his anxiety. He is calmer and less whiny. I give him one capsule in the morning with some food and one with dinner. I open the capsule and mix it up with the food and he doesn't notice it. But I notice the change! I am going to order more this morning and hope it comes in larger quanitities.

I was one step away from having to put my cat on kitty prozac for anxiety issues but thankfully we found zylkene and she has been doing great! I give it to her once a day (mixed in water and squirted in her mouth) and it has not altered her personality at all but has helped her not have anxiety attacks.

This was prescribed by my vet for my little Chihuahua who has pretty bad anxiety. I wanted my other dog to take it also and it is a little pricey, but cheaper on this site. Shipped quickly and arrived as stated. It doesn't completely take away their anxiety when I leave, but I am convinced it does 'take the edge off' so to speak. I have a dog who is afraid of her own tail. I rescued her almost a year ago and she seemed to be getting worse everyday. I am not sure her extent of abuse before I got her but I know she is happier in my home. My vet recommended Zylkene 450mg at 2 a day. They have helped calm her down some. My dog began exhibiting anxiety and after a clean bill of health from the vet, she recommended Zylkene. It does appear to be helping him feel more comfortable without any sedating effect. Allivet's price was considerably lower than at my vet making it more affordable for me to continue to treat him.

Found it easier to just give my dog the capsule in a pill treat as he wasn't finishing the food I was opening the capsule in to. So, it took a few more days to see any help. He had been on Valium and I am trying this instead. Seems to be pretty close to the same results but feel better about this medication than the Valium option. I'm still not totally sure about it as he has had some evening trembling issues still. Although, I think they are lessening in frequency and length.

Of all the natural anti-anxiety options I've tried for my reactive border collie mix, this seems to work the best. It does not make her sleepy, but does seem to take the edge off so that she can hear me. Sometimes I halve the dosage to make them last a little longer, and I still notice a benefit, but the full dose works best, of course. the medication was suggested by my vet to calm my poor snauzer pup down a little. She has been diagnosed with cushings disease and the vet believed it would help her.
