Rabvac-3

Rabvac-3 can be used in dogs cats and also horses, it is a killed virus vaccine used to prevent disease due to rabies. The vaccine meets the 3 year duration of immunity requirements for dogs and cats, but will only provide 1 year of immunity when it comes to horses.

In dogs and cats you should inject 1 ml dose subcutaneously starting at 3 months of age or older, revaccination should be one year later and then every three years thereafter. When it comes to horses the dosage should be 2 ml intramuscularly at 3 months of age or older, they should be revaccinated one year later and annually thereafter.

Vaccine should be kept cold but should be never frozen; it is sold in either 10 or 50 dosed and will be shipped overnight with ice packs to ensure the vaccine will be in perfect condition once it is delivered.

Some states require that rabies vaccines have to be administered by a licensed veterinarian. In addition, most local laws require that the vaccination include a certificate of vaccination and tag, which sometimes are only available through your veterinarian.
