EstroPlan is a prostaglandin F2-alpha analogue containing cloprostenol sodium. It is intramuscularly injected for luteolysis induction of dairy and beef cattle. This medication's luteolytic action is useful in manipulating estrous cycles to conform to specific management practices, treat prolonged luteal function-related conditions, and terminate pregnancies in mismating situations.
EstroPLAN (cloprostenol sodium 250 mcg/mL) is an injection to induce luteolysis in beef and dairy cattle. The luteolytic action of estroPLAN injection can be utilized to manipulate the estrous cycle to better fit certain management practices, to terminate pregnancies resulting from mismatings, and to treat certain conditions associated with prolonged luteal function.

Corpus luteum morphological and functional regression (luteolysis) occurs in cattle. Non-pregnant, normal-cycling animals experience this effect on the corpus luteum lifespan, resulting in estrus between two and five days post-treatment. Animals with luteal cysts, mummified fetus, or pyometra (prolonged luteal function) will experience luteolysis and resulting condition resolution, then cyclicity return.
Non-severe reactions may occur at 50 or 100 times recommended dosage in certain cattle. This can include milk let-down, moderate frothing, and increasing uneasiness.

- Never administer to pregnant animals if the calf is not intended for abortion.
- Remove any accidental skin spillage right away using soap and water.
- This product is readily absorbed into the skin and can cause bronchospasm or abortion. Do not allow direct skin contact.
- People with any respiratory problem, bronchial problem, asthma, women of childbearing age should use extreme caution in handling this product. Women can be unaware of pregnancy in early stages.
- Keep away from children.
- Do not use in humans.
- Only for use in animals.
