Lantus Injection (Insulin Glargine) aids in the control of diabetes mellitus in cats. An injectable drug, this medication works to regulate your diabetic cat's blood sugar. When blood glucose levels are normal, your cat's body will work efficiently and diabetes symptoms will be fewer. This long-acting insulin is designed to be injected beneath the skin.
This product comes in a 10mL vial or a 3mL pre-filled pen. The pre-filled pen does not come with a needle - this is sold separately.

Lantus aids in the treatment of diabetes mellitus in cats. It normalizes the levels of blood glucose, resulting in relief or diminishing of some diabetes symptoms.
The most frequently-reported adverse reaction to insulin (such as Lantus) is hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar, which can be a serious, life-threatening condition. This can be harmful to the brain or heart. Symptoms of severely low levels of blood sugar can include:
- Blurred vision
- Rapid heartbeat
- Sweating
- Shaking
- Weight gain
- Edema
- Rash
- Pruritus
- Lipodystrophy
- Reactions at the injection site
- Allergic reactions
