Polyflex (Ampicillin) is an injectable penicillin suspension with broad-spectrum bactericidal properties. It works against a variety of common gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria.

Polyflex goes beyond penicillin's ability to treat a variety of infections. It is an economical cephalosporin alternative, working against a variety of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria.
Polyflex is an antibiotic injectable solution that offers bactericidal bacteria against susceptible gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. Some of the many uses of Polyflex are:
  • E.coli
  • Pasteurella multocida
  • Streptococcus spp.
  • Staphylococcus spp.
  • Klebsiella spp.
  • Aerobacter spp.
  • Bacterial pneumonia (bovine pneumonia, calf pneumonia, and shipping fever)
  • Respiratory tract infections
Polyflex can cause an allergic reaction. If such a reaction occurs, withdraw use and treat the cow with corticosteroids, pressor amines, and/or antihistamines).
Ampicillin
In case of adverse reaction, consult your nearest animal hospital.
  • Do not use in animals with a history of allergic reaction to cephalosporin, penicillin, or similar medications.
  • Follow label instructions for meat and milk withdrawal.
  • Do not administer for more than 7 days. 3 days' worth of treatment usually produces desired results, but the animal should be treated for 48 to 72 hours after symptoms and/or fever subside.
  • Do not slaughter cows for food while being treated with Polyflex, or for 6 days (144 hours) following the final treatment.
  • Do not use milk in treated cows for food during treatment or for 4 milkings, or 48 hours, following the last treatment.
