Trazadone is a tetracyclic antidepressant belonging to the drug group known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI). Drugs in this group work by stopping the reabsorption of serotonin in the brain, leaving more of the chemical available to aid conversations between neurons. Its effects generally result in elevated mood, increased appetite, and anxiety relief.
Trazadone may produce the following side effects: lethargy / sedation vomiting / diarrhea panting / shaking restlessness / agitation
