Anipryl (selegiline hydrochloride) is used to control the clinical signs of uncomplicated canine pituitary dependent hyperadrenocorticism (PDH or Cushing's disease) and canine cognitive dysfunction syndrome (CDS).
Anipryl is indicated for the control of clinical signs associated with canine cognitive dysfunction syndrome and control of clinical signs associated with uncomplicated canine pituitary dependent hyperadrenocorticism.
For use in dogs.
Anipryl is effective in helping to control the clinical signs associated with:
  • Uncomplicated canine pituitary dependent hyperadrenocorticism (PDH or Cushing's disease)
  • Canine cognitive dysfunction syndrome (CCD)
Anipryl is a selective monoamine oxidase -B inhibitor, which may enhance catecholamine neuron activity and increase dopamine levels in dogs.
While uncommon (only a 5% incidence), some adverse reactions may occur.
  • Restlessness
  • Diminished hearing
  • Listlessness
  • Drooling
  • Tremors
  • Itchy skin
  • Loss of appetite
  • Diarrhea
  • Vomiting

Do not use in conjunction with other MAO inhibitors, phenylpropanolamine, opioids, or ephedrine. Do not administer to dogs with prior hypersensitivity to the drug.
